Join us for our second Summer Reading Series, this year led by TCS/NT member Carl Rheins. He holds a PhD in History, is former faculty in the Judaic Studies Program at SUNY Stony Brook, and is a past CEO and Executive Director of YIVO.
This final meeting will be devoted to the revolt in Sobibor. Of the six death camps the Nazis had set up in Poland, Sobibor is perhaps the least known, but it was the scene of one of the most dramatic revolts in the annals of Jewish resistance and, by and large, the most successful in its objective.
All readings are in English; no prior knowledge is required. You're welcome to drop in as you can and wish during the five weeks of the series. For more information and to sign-up, contact Carl Rheins: firstname.lastname@example.org
