After the first Rosh Hashanah morning service, Tashlich will be performed at a member's home nearby. Tashlich comes from the Hebrew word meaning "to cast," referring to the intent to cast away our sins via this meaningful and ancient Jewish custom common to both Ashkenazi and Sephardic communities.
ALL ARE WELCOME - Members, Non-Members, Family, Friends and Children, for a pondside closure of our services led by Or Rose, including Sounding of the Shofar, Group Discussion, Tashlich, all to be followed by a Rosh Hashanah Luncheon.
Lunch will be provided, please feel free to bring desserts and white wine or Prosecco. Bring blanket and/or chairs for pond-side services. Bring bread for Tashlich.
Directions to the location of the luncheon will be provided at the Synagogue. Upon arrival, please congregate in the driveway. We will all process together to the pond, for a unique and meaningful conclusion to Rosh Hashanah services.
