Hanukkah celebrates the single cruse of oil that burned in the ancient Temple for eight days. It’s a story about light overcoming darkness and also of bounty from scarcity.
Our Chanukah party will be an evening of storytelling, candle lighting, and latke eating. In the spirit of Matzoh 2020, our two-year agricultural project, and with awareness of food insecurity in America, the gathering will feature a selection of readings from the Hasidic Masters, Shakespeare, Turkish folktales, German fairytales, and much more.
What a way to close this year’s Hanukkah celebration! Be sure to bring your own menorah and candles and your family.
