"Ah, Jerusalem", set in the holy city, is a musical about the adventures that the Axelrods, an American family, have in their lively encounters with characters from Jerusalem's past. Crossing borders, time and reality, each family member has an encounter that will be transformational and empowering. All done with great fun and great songs.
Written by TCS members Bernie Kukoff, Alan Gelb and Luclie Lichtblau, with music and lyrics by Danny Paller, this staged reading will be directed by Bernie Kukoff.
The first reading of "Ah, Jerusalem" was held four years ago. Fully developed, it then went on to have a full production at the Beit Shmuel Theatre, and from there to the Tower of David, both in Jerusalem, where it played to great critical acclaim.
Admission includes a festive reception with the cast, writers, and the Jerusalem-based composer. This will be a benefit for TCS and a celebration of Israel's 70th birthday.
