Fractal Patterns — A Dance Work “in Progress” and Talk Back with the Choreographer

Join us for a special program by dancer, choreographer, and TCS/NT member, Jamie Stiller, who will be presenting a section of her new dance, Fractal Patterns, A Work in Progress. She will be joined by dancers, Dwayne Resnick and Alexandra Sullivan, with music by Arvin Pärt and Nicholas Britell.

The showing will be followed by a talk back. Audience members will be asked specific questions about their reactions to the work, a dialogue with the choreographer and other audience members will inform the progress of piece.

About the Choreographer:
Jamie has been involved in the world of dance for many years, originally in NYC and more recently upstate New York. She has choreographed pieces at Midsummer Dances , Upstate Dance Pick-up Company and been a board member of The American Dance Guild and The Dance Alliance. Her choreography has been seen at the 92nd Street Y, Symphony Space, the Cunningham Studio among other NYC venues. Upstate her work has been performed at the Palace Theatre, Proctors Theatre, several Capital Region Universities. Most recently she has performed at Jacob’s Pillow in Compania, Sharon Fridman’s Free Fall and at the Lumberyard in Andrew Schneider’s NERVOUS/SYSTEM. Jamie has received grants for her work from NYSCA, the Department of Cultural Affairs, the Joyce Mertz-Gilmore Foundation, and the New York Foundation for the Arts.
